Privacy Policy

Yesterlane is a personal photo journal. Your journal is yours — this page explains exactly what that means.
Your journal stays in your iCloud
Everything you put into Yesterlane — photos, videos, writing, moods, locations, templates and stickers — is stored on your devices and synced through your own private iCloud database, operated by Apple. We have no server that receives your journal and no ability to read, access or recover its contents. Deleting the app and its iCloud data removes your journal entirely.
Health data
With your permission, Yesterlane reads daily summaries from Apple Health (such as sleep, steps and workouts) solely to display them on your journal page. Health data is read-only, stays inside your private journal, and is never sent to us or to any third party. You can revoke access at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Location and photos
Location (if allowed) is used only to stamp your journal entries with where you were. Photo library access is used only to place the pictures you choose into your journal. Both stay within your private journal and iCloud.
The one thing we do receive: Marketplace submissions
If you choose to share a template you designed on the Yesterlane Marketplace, we receive your submission: the artwork, the description you write, your chosen public username, and your name and email address. Your email is used only to contact you about that submission and Marketplace changes, and is never displayed publicly or shared with anyone else. Nothing is submitted unless you explicitly use the "Upload to Marketplace" feature.
What we don't do
Yesterlane contains no advertising, no analytics or tracking SDKs, no accounts, and no sale or sharing of data of any kind.
Third-party services
When you search for books, music or films to add to a card, your search query is sent to the relevant public catalogue (Open Library, Apple's iTunes Search, TVmaze) to fetch results. Optional 30-second music previews stream from Apple. These requests contain only the search text — nothing about you or your journal.
Children
Yesterlane is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.
